What to standardise across a hospitality group
A practical line between platform standards and the venue-level detail local teams still need to own.
What this guide covers
- Standardisation framework
- Venue ownership principles
- Governance prompts
Designed for: Group General Managers, Operations Managers, Multi-venue operators.
Standardise the shape of work
Create common categories, minimum standards, reporting fields and governance. Let venues own the final task wording and local sequence.
Copy templates, do not share live records
A venue should receive its own checklist, SOP or task rule. Later platform edits must not silently rewrite live venue operations.
Separate platform and venue roles
Global administrators need platform health and lifecycle controls. They should not inherit everyday Venue Manager permissions.
Measure adoption before outcomes
Start with active users, completed tasks, submitted checklists and review times. Avoid claiming labour or compliance gains until they are measured.
Build an offboarding path early
Know how a venue is exported, suspended, legally held and closed before onboarding paying customers.
Every operating group should adapt governance, access and retention decisions to its structure, agreements and professional obligations.
