Community principles
In developmentA constructive standard for a professional hospitality community.
These pre-launch principles describe the culture and safeguards HospoTek intends to build. They are not final marketplace terms or a substitute for legal review before community features launch.
Contribute something practical
- Ask clear questions and include the operating context others need to help.
- Share experience honestly and separate what you know from what you assume.
- Credit other people's work and respect intellectual property.
Treat people with respect
- No harassment, discrimination, threats, bullying or targeted humiliation.
- Debate the idea without attacking the person, venue, customer or team.
- Do not use the community to organise abuse or retaliation.
Protect privacy and venue information
- Do not post confidential venue, employee, guest, incident or commercial information.
- Remove identifying details from examples unless you have a legitimate basis and permission to share them.
- Never publish credentials, contact details or sensitive documents belonging to someone else.
Be responsible with safety and compliance
- Do not encourage unlawful, unsafe or discriminatory practices.
- Make clear when a contribution is general experience rather than professional legal, financial, safety or compliance advice.
- Urgent venue incidents belong in the venue's emergency and escalation process—not in a community thread.
Disclose commercial interests
- State when you have a financial, employment or referral interest in a recommendation.
- No deceptive promotion, spam, fake reviews or undisclosed lead generation.
- Service opportunities will follow separate marketplace rules when that product is ready.
Moderation and reporting
- HospoTek intends to provide reporting, review and proportionate enforcement before community discussions open.
- Content may be restricted or removed when it conflicts with these principles or creates a credible safety, privacy or legal risk.
- Repeated or serious breaches may lead to participation limits. A formal appeals process is still to be designed.
